Ang Ku Kueh...

I was just browsing through various blogs when I came across this story. Wow... almost brought tears to my eyes :$

Not long ago I had to good fortune to have been 'introduced' to someone from Singapore. It's been about 2 weeks now, and.. I really don't know what to say.

First of all it's nice because I'm getting to know someone from my mum's hometown 'Sabah' (her birthplace).

She's always very happy and upbeat, always joking :p - oi! Roti Prata! <-- Apparently that's the only Malay I can speak : lol She teases and, words hurt *sniffle* :p but she's a sweetie.

I can't believe how small this world is becoming... do you know how excited I got the first time I got an sms from her? lol... I was like a kid in a candy store.

Lately, I've been reading lots of Malaysian and Singaporean blogs, I've always loved Malaysia and the thought of going back is constantly going through my mind. In fact, I'm supposed to be going back to Malaysia this March. One of our family friends is getting married. I haven't been back for over 6 years now... wth.

Anyway, back to topic... now that I've met this person I have the chance to see Singapore through the eyes of a local :) We've been chatting together via MSN on a nightly basis (whenever she's working anyway) and it's funny, cuz if u know me, u'll know that I'm pretty stone faced most of the time. For the past couple of nights she's had me cracking up in my seat! Good thing there's no one around me... they'd think I'm going nuts laughing @ my computer.

I had to tell her the other night... "u are really very pleasant to chat w/ :)." Really, there's not much to it.. nothing more, nothing less, just that.. she made me smile.

People like her are hard to come by.. she's genuine, one of a kind, pandai :D (yay me! another Malay word), sweet, modest... and... Single (?) wth.

I don't get it Jacq... :p y are u single? lol! If I were there I'd surely snatch u up ;) (hehe try anyway).
